George pioneered multi-manager investing and, with his late wife Jane Russell, transformed Frank Russell Company into a worldwide financial service leader that was selected in 1998 as National Family Business of the Year among large businesses. He brings more than 45 years of global experience and leadership in the investment world to Threshold Group’s private wealth management practice. George earned personal recognition by Pensions & Investments in 1993 as one of the four most influential figures in institutional investing, and received the Employee Benefit Research Institute’s Lillywhite Award in 1997 for “Outstanding Lifetime Contributions to Enhancing Americans’ Economic Security.” He currently chairs the National Bureau of Asian Research and Transmutation Technologies, Inc., and has chaired The Russell Family Foundation. He co-chairs the EastWest Institute and The Kendal-Russell Centre for Corporate Competitiveness in Russia, and is an honorary co-chairman of The Business Humanitarian Forum. Timothy Cavanaugh

Tim Cavanaugh is the founder and managing director of Star Equity Management, LLC in Seattle, Washington, a management company focused on private equity and venture capital. Additionally, he has a partnership in Seattle focused on developing urban infill multi-family housing, with sustainability as a key component of each project. In 1998, he started Sunshine Management Services, LLC, a family office and investment advisory firm that grew to become Threshold Group. Prior to Threshold, Tim spent more than 14 years in senior leadership positions in the healthcare industry, where he focused on strategic growth, acquisitions and operations. He has served on numerous non-profit boards with a keen interest in education. Tim holds dual degrees from Gonzaga University and a master’s degree from the University of Washington.
Gun Denhart

Gun Denhart co-founded Hanna Andersson children’s clothing company in 1983 and is well known as a civic leader in Portland, Oregon. She joined Threshold’s Board of Directors in early 2008. A native of Sweden, Gun helped build Hanna Andersson into a leading retailer of high quality clothing made from soft cotton materials. The company also became a recognized for its community involvement and its family-friendly workplace practices. While leading the company, Gun began the practice of giving 5% of the company’s pre-tax profits to children’s groups. The company’s policies on flex time and childcare reimbursement resulted in Working Woman magazine recognizing Hanna Andersson in its annual list of 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers. Gun also is a charter member and past board member of Business for Social Responsibility. She co-authored the book Growing Local Value and currently serves on the boards of Mercy Corps, Ecotrust, Stand for Children, the Oregon Business Association and The Russell Family Foundation.

Katherine James Schuitemaker is the founder and CEO of The Resonance Group, a marketing and business strategy consultancy serving company executives who are seeking to grow revenues or strategically position their companies. Katherine’s 25 years of executive and marketing experience ranges from working with scrappy, entrepreneurial start-up ventures to building global business franchises for Fortune 100 companies. Her clients and employers have included Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft, as well as Aldus/Adobe, PhotoDisc/Getty Images, williamsworks, TOMS Shoes, Orion Air Group, Attenex Corporation and LexisNexis. She currently serves on the board of Conenza, Inc. and has been a 14-year board member of the Washington Technology Industry Association, serving a term as its chair. She served two terms on the Washington State Economic Development Commission and has fulfilled numerous state-appointed leadership and board roles involving the technology sector in Washington. She also is former co-chair of the board for IslandWood, a hands-on environmental learning center on Bainbridge Island, where she continues as a member of the board executive committee and as an advisory board member for Coyote, an inner-city program that helps students discover their creative talents.
Luther Ragin, Jr.

Luther Ragin is Chief Executive Officer of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of impact investing. GIIN works to increase the level and effectiveness of capital aimed at addressing critical social and environmental problems. Previously, Luther served as Vice President for Investments at New York-based F.B. Heron Foundation from 1999-2011. Luther oversaw the foundation's endowment, building a portfolio of more thatn $260 million, steadily increasing the impact investing allocation to more than 40 percent while maintaining competitive, risk-adjusted financial returns. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Financial Officer of the National Community Capital Association, a trade association of community development financial institutions that provide access to capital in low-income communities. He served eight years as Chief Financial Officer of Earl G. Graves, Ltd., and seven years with Chase Manhattan Bank, including three years as Vice President of Syndications/Assets Sales for the North American Corporate Finance Sector. He holds a BA and Master of Public Policy from Harvard, and is a graduate of Columbia University’s Executive Program in Business Administration.
Charles B. Grace, Jr.

Charles B. Grace, Jr. joined Threshold’s board in 2010 when the firm acquired the assets of Ashbridge Investment Management in Philadelphia. In his history with Ashbridge, he was appointed President of Ashbridge Corporation in 1961. In 1978, he became a full-time employee, managing the investment portfolios of the Grace family. In 1992, he founded Ashbridge Investment Management to offer wealth advisory services to other substantial investors, and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both firms. Charles oversaw investment portfolios and was active with client accounts and investment policy. He has a long investment career serving in the corporate finance department at Drexel and Company in Philadelphia and later became a principal at Smith Barney in New York and Paris. Charles is a graduate of Princeton University and the Wharton School of Business Administration and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the teaching staff at the Wharton School for two years and serves as a trustee of various civic and cultural organizations.
