News Releases:Threshold Group named Top Workplace by Seattle Business MagazineFamily-owned firm earns #1 spot among small firms in Washington stateJune 13, 2009SEATTLE, wash. – In an economy where jobs are under pressure, Threshold Group, a family-owned wealth management office headquartered in Gig Harbor, Wash., has earned the top ranking among small employers in Washington state. According to Seattle Business magazine’s 2009 listing of 100 Best Companies to Work For, Threshold earned the #1 ranking in a tie with Seattle law firm GordonDerr. The magazine’s annual ranking takes into account workplace culture, benefits, employee programs and an online survey of the employees themselves. Threshold Group has ranked in the annual Best Companies to Work For list for the past five years, and this is the first time the young firm (established in 1999) has won top honors. Threshold Group is a multi-family wealth management office that oversees the financial and personal affairs of a select number of families throughout the US. With offices in Gig Harbor, New York City and Portland, Ore., the firm was created when George and Jane Russell sold the Frank Russell Company (now Russell Investments) to Northwestern Mutual 10 years ago. The firm works closely with about 55 households across the US and oversees about $1.5 billion in private investment assets. “We owe every bit of this to George Russell, his late wife
Jane Russell and our family owners. They challenged us from the start to
create a special workplace for our associates with the end game of
creating exceptional service for our clients, said Ed Lazar, president
of Threshold Group. “This confirms we are on the right track, and
challenges us to keep at it.” For the full listing of Best Companies to Work For: www.seattlebusinessmag.com |
